South Dublin Gangs Join Forces For Home Burglaries

Burglaries in Dun Laoghaire and surrounding areas are continuing to rise. Last year we informed you that Dun Laoghaire was the only town in Dublin which saw an increase in burglaries in 2016 and thefts are continuing to increase in the seaside town; which are up over 40% since 2014.

Worryingly The Journal revealed that two formally rival gangs have now joined forces in the Dun Laoghaire / Rathdown area. The gangs who are known to the Gardaí are believed to be responsible for many home intrusions and car thefts in the last month.

They’re spreading out to surrounding wealthy areas, with reports that they’ve struck in Blackrock, Cabinteely, Clonskeagh, Dalkey, Killiney, Monkstown, Sallynoggin, Shankill and Stillorgan.
