The Dublin Fire Brigade recently revealed that the most common day of the week for a house fire is Tuesday and the most common time is at 11pm. The majority of car fires also occur at night time.
They revealed the statistic on their Twitter page Wednesday morning:
Dublin Fire Brigade also warned about activations from builders and construction workers. They went on to say "Do you have a monitored smoke alarm? A common call for us is an alarm activating because of dust from building or renovation work activating the alarm. Discuss this with your builder and monitoring company to avoid these false alarms."
With a HomeSecure monitored smoke alarm, Chubb Ireland, our monitoring partners will contact the primary keyholder by phone and if they’re unable to get in touch, they will dispatch the fire brigade immediately.
If you are having building work done, we recommend you notify our monitoring station, so they can be aware if it's a false alarm.
Our monitored smoke alarm does come with a high false alarm immunity.
